As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors, document activity, and deliver customer service with integrity through teamwork in a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative culture. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, yards, and perimeter lines, helping to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Control access at gates and/or building entrances by verifying identification, processing visitor and contractor check-in, and documenting inbound and outbound traffic as required by site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
  • Complete shift activity logs and incident reports, communicate relevant updates to the site and Allied Universal leadership, and report hazards, damages, and/or maintenance concerns observed during patrols.
