Job Description As a Security Officer - Utilities Patrol in Amarillo, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a utilities location, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with visitors and staff. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.
- Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, employees, and Allied Universal management as needed.
- Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with company and client protocols.
- Assist in controlling access to restricted areas and monitor for any suspicious behavior or activity.
