As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol utility locations, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, manage access control, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the overall security-related needs of the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and report any unusual or suspicious activity according to site protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to address security-related matters as they arise.
  • Complete required reports and documentation related to patrols, incidents, and daily activities in a timely manner.
  • Remain visible and approachable while on patrol to provide assistance and information to employees, visitors, and contractors as needed.
