As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, support access control, and document security-related activity using computer and/or tablet tools. Your visible presence and strong customer service help promote an orderly environment while you communicate clearly with onsite teams. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including building perimeters, parking areas, and critical spaces, noting unusual conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and authorize entry for employees, contractors, and visitors per site procedures, including checking identification, issuing badges, and maintaining visitor and key control logs.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarm activations, access control issues, and/or disturbances, and notify site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
  • Complete detailed shift activity reports and incident documentation, communicate clearly during shift turnovers, and assist with maintaining order in common areas and around sensitive equipment.
