About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Vehicle Patrol Driver in La Porte, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed, driving Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and support a professional customer experience. Requirements

  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial chemical location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, process areas, parking areas, and perimeter fencing, reporting unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Control access at designated points by verifying identification, managing visitor sign-in and/or badging, and directing traffic flow consistent with site rules.
  • Respond to alarms, spills, releases, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications and escalation per post orders.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, including patrol activity, incidents, and maintenance-related observations, and communicate status updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
