About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Vehicle Patrol in Tampa, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. Requirements

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by following site-specific procedures and access guidelines while supporting security-related operations.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, common areas, and other assigned locations; report unusual conditions, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; coordinate with site leadership and/or public responders as directed.
• Complete shift logs and incident reports; communicate observations and handoff details to Allied Universal leadership and oncoming personnel.
