About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Security Clearance Patrol in Herndon, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • An active Department of Defense Top Secret clearance is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the overall security-related needs of the location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns, noting that working environments may vary based on the site.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities, hazards, or conditions encountered during patrols to appropriate Allied Universal personnel.
  • Follow post orders and instructions specific to the aerospace and defense environment, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and assisting visitors as required.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal team members to relay important information about security-related matters.
