As an unarmed patrol officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related concerns. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts and/or responding partners, and deliver customer service with professionalism. Requirements
- Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site contacts and/or public services when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and controlled areas, verifying authorization for entry, directing traffic flow as assigned, and reporting suspicious activity per site procedures.
- Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, communicate updates during shift changes, and support audits and/or compliance requirements common to aerospace and defense locations.
