About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Security Clearance in Chantilly, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic tech, media, and/or telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with team members and site contacts, and respond to concerns with customer-focused professionalism. You will support a culture that is agile, reliable, innovative, and built on teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • Maintain an active DoD TS-SCI clearance.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a technology and telecommunications location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, work areas, parking areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit for employees, visitors, and contractors, including checking identification and/or credentials as required by post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate updates to site contacts and/or dispatch as needed.
  • Complete routine reports and logs such as patrol activity, incident documentation, and shift handoff notes, and report hazards and/or maintenance concerns through the proper channels.
