About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Routine Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with team members and site contacts while delivering standout customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and notifying site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, loading docks, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and access control issues.
• Monitor access points and common areas, assist with visitor directions and basic requests, and report suspicious behavior and/or policy violations according to post orders.
• Complete detailed patrol logs and incident reports, communicate clearly with team members and property management, and support security-related operations during special events and/or peak traffic periods.
