About The Position

As a Security Officer - Routine Unarmed Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a financial institution environment.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity for unusual conditions; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance to staff, visitors, and/or first responders as directed.
• Complete accurate reports, incident logs, and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant information during shift briefings and/or handoffs.
