As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a residential community, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine foot patrols, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to resident concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with your team and local contacts as needed. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 6 months of security-related experience.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access guidelines, and escalation protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of residential buildings, parking areas, common spaces, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to alarms, disturbances, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Monitor entry points and community activity, verify credentials when required, and document visitor and/or contractor access according to site policies.
  • Complete detailed patrol logs and incident reports, communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and/or property management, and assist with resident inquiries and service requests.
