As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, remain highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents. You will monitor access points, report hazards and unusual activity, and communicate clearly with site personnel and emergency contacts. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, tank farms, loading zones, offices, and perimeter fencing, watching for unusual activity, open doors, or abnormal conditions that may help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Control access through gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, managing visitor logs, checking delivery paperwork, and directing traffic to approved areas per site policy.
  • Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate updates to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision using required logs and/or systems.
