About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Day Shifts in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access points, observe and report unusual activity, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of HS Diploma/GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, guests, and/or employees by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and post orders, and assisting with directions and general inquiries.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit points as assigned, checking credentials, managing visitor access, and documenting deliveries and contractor activity per site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities as appropriate and notifying site leadership and/or local emergency services when needed.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts, and support investigations by preserving observations and relevant information.
