As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor grounds and key areas, conduct routine foot patrols, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, communicate clearly with drivers and site teams, and document observations in timely reports. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or security license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouse areas, trailer yards, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and vehicle gates, verify identification and/or shipping documentation as directed, and assist with visitor, contractor, and delivery check-in processes.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, suspicious activity, and property damage, and escalate notifications per post orders.
  • Complete shift activity logs and incident reports, document patrol findings, and communicate security-related information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
