Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Unit
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Unit in Macedonia, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will provide clear communication, respond to reports, and deliver customer service to employees and visitors. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, parking lots, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
- Monitor and control access to the location by checking identification, verifying visitor authorization, and directing deliveries and contractors according to site requirements.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or public emergency services when appropriate.
- Complete shift logs and incident reports, document patrol findings, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
