About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Team in Saint Paul Park, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents, and support access points and visitor activity. You will communicate clearly with site contacts, document observations, and respond to alarms and service calls as needed. Requirements

  • Have 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have alarm panel experience, preferred.
  • Have experience working a primarily driving post, preferred.
  • Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site contacts and/or public emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Control access at gates and/or designated entry points by verifying identification and/or credentials, managing visitor and contractor check-in, and directing individuals to approved areas.
  • Complete detailed shift documentation including patrol logs, incident reports, and equipment checks using required reporting systems, and communicate key information during shift turnovers.
