About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Ackerman, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor assigned areas through routine foot patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support access points by observing and reporting unusual activity. You will communicate clearly with site contacts and visitors while documenting observations and incidents. Requirements

  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal and location-specific procedures, access guidelines, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazards.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorization for access, and direct deliveries, contractors, and visitors according to location requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate timely updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation, and report maintenance concerns such as lighting, doors, gates, and/or fencing issues observed during patrols.
