About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Sentinel in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, students, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, respond to concerns, and partner with site teams to support day-to-day operations. Requirements

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations; conditions may vary by location and shift.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requests for assistance, disturbances, medical calls, and/or alarms, and coordinate with campus partners and/or public responders as needed.
• Monitor access points and public spaces, check doors and gates for proper closure, help to deter unauthorized entry, and provide directions and information as needed.
• Complete detailed reports and logs for patrol activity, incidents, and/or observations, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
