You will conduct routine foot patrols, assist students, staff, and visitors with directions and support, and communicate clearly with team members and site contacts. Requirements

• Be 21+ years of age.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access guidelines, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations on campus in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate campus contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance issues.
• Monitor and document security-related activity using incident reports, daily activity logs, and radio communications, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or property concerns.
• Support campus operations by assisting with building checks, door and gate status verification, basic crowd and traffic direction during events, and providing directions and information to visitors.
