Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Rover
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Rover in Fort Mill, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help to deter unwanted activity. You will respond to alarms and/or reports, document observations, and communicate clearly with onsite teams and visitors while delivering customer-focused service. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including production areas, warehouses, yards, parking areas and perimeter fencing. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, following visitor and contractor processes and directing traffic as needed.
- Complete routine reports, document incidents and observed hazards, and communicate updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
