About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Officer in West Chester, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to alarms, and assist staff and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing initial scene assessment, notifying appropriate personnel, and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas and the perimeter, observing for unusual activity, hazards, and/or unauthorized access; working environments and conditions may vary by post assignment.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying identification and/or credentials as directed, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in areas per site procedures.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate relevant information to supervisors and site contacts, and support security-related procedures for deliveries, parking, and/or restricted areas as assigned.
