About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Officer in West Chester, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to alarms, and assist staff and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing initial scene assessment, notifying appropriate personnel, and documenting actions taken.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas and the perimeter, observing for unusual activity, hazards, and/or unauthorized access; working environments and conditions may vary by post assignment.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying identification and/or credentials as directed, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in areas per site procedures.
Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate relevant information to supervisors and site contacts, and support security-related procedures for deliveries, parking, and/or restricted areas as assigned.
