About The Position

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, hospital site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout hospital corridors, entrances, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance issues.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support, access control concerns, and assistance with wayfinding during high-traffic periods.
Monitor access points and restricted areas, verifying credentials when required and/or directing individuals to appropriate check-in locations in accordance with site procedures.
Complete detailed reports of incidents, patrol observations, and service requests, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts.
