About The Position

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, hospital site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout hospital corridors, entrances, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance issues.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support, access control concerns, and assistance with wayfinding during high-traffic periods.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verifying credentials when required and/or directing individuals to appropriate check-in locations in accordance with site procedures.
  • Complete detailed reports of incidents, patrol observations, and service requests, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts.
