Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Driving Role Patrol in San Diego, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an unarmed, driving Patrol Officer in a residential community, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to resident needs with strong customer service and clear communication. You will document observations and use basic technology as needed while working with a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative. At Allied Universal, we put people first and act with integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related access control at a residential community.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, amenities, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor and document security-related activity, including completing patrol reports, incident reports, and shift logs in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and resident concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site management and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations, preserving the scene for responding authorities, and providing clear information to arriving responders.
