As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a high-profile aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access control operations and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors while delivering customer service with integrity. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver’s license in the job state.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an aerospace and defense location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, hangars, parking areas, and perimeter lines to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Control access at gates and entry points by confirming authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing employees, contractors, and deliveries according to site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, suspicious activity, and medical or fire-related notifications, and coordinate with on-site personnel and public responders as needed.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, document incidents and observations, and communicate shift handoffs and site conditions to supervisors and client contacts.
