About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Dallas, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed, driving Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine vehicle and foot patrols, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document activity, support access control as needed, and deliver strong customer service through clear communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with on-site contacts and/or public responders when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the building, work areas, parking locations, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and access points; control entry for employees, contractors, and visitors according to site requirements and maintain accurate visitor and key control logs.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities in written reports and escalate concerns through the chain of command using approved communication tools.
