Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver in East Moline, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, incident reporting, and site protocols while delivering strong customer service and communication. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, vendors, and employees by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor access points and perform security-related screening such as checking identification, verifying visitor authorization, and/or maintaining visitor logs according to site requirements.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
- Complete accurate security-related reports and documentation, including patrol activity, incident reports, and shift turnover notes, and communicate observations to site leadership as needed.
