About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver Government in Jacksonville, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a government location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols and maintaining a visible presence. Requirements

  • A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or General Education Diploma is required as required by the client.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor access points and observe for any unusual or suspicious activity within the government facility.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or maintenance needs according to company and client procedures.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel when required, maintaining clear communication.
  • Support a secure environment by maintaining a visible presence and providing assistance to staff, visitors, and contractors as appropriate.
