As a Security Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and communication. This is a patrol, unarmed, and driving position, so a valid driver's license is required. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist in controlling access to restricted areas and verifying credentials as required by client site policies.
• Support law enforcement or emergency responders during incidents when appropriate.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as directed by Allied Universal and client site requirements.
• Remain alert and attentive while on duty, adapting to varying working environments and conditions at the government location.
