About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Agent in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a technology-focused location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor access in accordance with site procedures, and report policy violations, maintenance concerns, and/or suspicious behavior.
Support day-to-day operations by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with directions and inquiries, and completing assigned reports related to security-related incidents, patrol activity, and/or access control observations.
