Job Description As a Security Officer Hospital Patrol Specialist in Falls Church, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support patients, staff, and visitors through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Vaccines are required for this hospital location.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, hallways, and other assigned areas, assisting with visitor directions, reporting security-related concerns, and supporting a professional environment for all occupants.
  • Assist with traffic and pedestrian flow at key access points, help to address policy-related issues, and report maintenance, access, and/or security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
