As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will greet and assist visitors, support access points, and communicate clearly with staff and responders while documenting key observations. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as required by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity, and document observations per site requirements.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and/or credentials when required, manage visitor sign-in processes, and help maintain orderly entry and exit flow.
• Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to the oncoming shift and/or site contacts.
