As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and visitor flow, respond to calls for service, and document activity using computer and/or tablet tools. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet preferred.
• Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.
• Have customer service experience preferred.
• Have a guard card and/or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office, campus, and/or technology-focused areas including lobbies, corridors, loading areas, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Control access points by checking identification and/or credentials, managing visitor sign-in, and directing deliveries and service providers according to site procedures.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other building systems when assigned, and complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and unusual activity.
