As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, remain highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents through strong presence and clear communication. You will assist staff and visitors with directions and service-focused support, document observations, and report concerns promptly. Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to the public and staff at a government transportation location by following site-specific procedures, access control requirements, and/or emergency response protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to public agency personnel and/or emergency services as required.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of platforms, concourses, entrances, stairways, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor cameras, gates, and designated posts, reporting suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or infrastructure issues through established communication channels.
• Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift documentation accurately and promptly, maintaining clear communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
