About The Position
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Field Patrol in Plainfield, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment. You will complete routine patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access control with clear, professional communication. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Access Control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calling for assistance as needed and documenting actions taken.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout buildings, work areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, direct visitors to appropriate check-in processes, and assist with traffic flow during peak arrival and departure periods.
- Complete shift logs and incident reports, communicate relevant observations to site leadership and/or incoming personnel, and support basic monitoring of alarms and/or cameras when assigned.
