About The Position

As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol in Virginia Beach, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a utilities location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter incidents, and assist with access control, visitor directions, and site communication. You will document observations, report concerns, and partner with site leaders using teamwork and integrity. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at utility and construction locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the work site, laydown yards, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or unusual conditions.
• Monitor and control access points as assigned, verifying identification and/or authorization, managing visitor check-in, and directing deliveries and contractors to designated areas.
• Complete accurate daily activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate shift updates and observed conditions to oncoming personnel and site contacts.
