As a Security Officer - Full Time - Mornings in Skokie, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will perform visible patrols and routine checks, respond to calls for assistance, and support a welcoming customer experience through clear communication and service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements, with patrols that may include vehicle rounds across the property. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, documenting activities and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail sales floor, stock areas and perimeter to help to deter theft, vandalism and/or other unwanted activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits and key activity areas, observing for policy violations and reporting suspicious behavior, hazards and/or maintenance concerns through the appropriate channels.
• Complete required reports such as shift logs, incident reports and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant information during post transitions.
