About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hospital Perimeter Walk in Clairton, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor directions. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and patients, and respond to calls for assistance with professionalism. Requirements

  • Must be able to work at a hospital site where vaccines are present.
  • Must be able to work at a hospital site with a morgue.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific access control procedures, visitor management practices, and other security-related protocols within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, reporting, and coordinating with clinical staff and/or emergency responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking lots, and perimeter points, observing for unusual activity, hazards, and/or unsecured doors and reporting findings per post orders.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and communications systems when assigned, document security-related events, and complete accurate reports and shift logs for leadership review.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, such as assisting with evacuations, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and helping to maintain orderly movement in lobbies, corridors, and other common areas.
