About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Driving Role Rounds in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a financial institution location. You will conduct routine patrols and visibility checks, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors to help discourage security-related incidents. This is a driving post, so you may move between designated areas as needed. Bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset to deliver reliable, innovative service every shift.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or contractors at a financial institution location by carrying out Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate updates to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, and restricted areas; verify access credentials when required; and assist with visitor processing and/or directing individuals to the appropriate area.
  • Complete detailed shift logs and incident reports, document security-related observations, and report maintenance hazards and/or policy issues through the designated channels.
