As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine mobile patrols, stay highly visible, and help identify and report security-related concerns while providing courteous customer service. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license that meets AU Driver Policy requirements. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and grounds for unusual activity, potential hazards, and/or policy violations; report observations through required communication and documentation channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate on-site contacts and/or public agencies when directed by post orders.
  • Complete required reports such as incident, activity, and/or patrol logs, and communicate updates to supervision and site representatives per site procedures.
