About The Position

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and public-facing location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist guests and tenants with professional customer service. You will document observations, communicate clearly, and support the team with integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state, backed by Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and people-first culture.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card and/or security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation and timely notification to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior common areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and activity within the location, assist with crowd and/or traffic flow during busy periods, and provide directions and information to visitors as needed.
• Complete reports on incidents, observations, and patrol activity, and communicate relevant information during shift handoff.
