As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, assisting with access control, and providing outstanding customer service to all personnel and visitors. Requirements

  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with computers or tablets is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the chemical and petrochemical environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
  • Monitor access points and observe activities to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or unusual occurrences according to site protocols.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to address security-related concerns and support a secure work environment.
  • Remain alert to changes in the environment and follow site-specific instructions to help to deter potential risks.
