Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control Desk in Arabi, LA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Allied Universal team member in an access control-focused role within a food and beverage location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Must possess a TSA issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Assist with access control procedures by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points at the location.
Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual conditions.
Monitor security-related systems such as cameras and alarms as required by site procedures.
Document and report any incidents, irregularities, or suspicious activity according to company and site guidelines.
Support emergency response activities when appropriate, coordinating with Allied Universal management and local authorities as needed.
