As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, support staff and visitors with clear communication and strong customer service, and document activity as needed. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and parking areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify maintenance and security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and behavioral escalations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and requesting clinical staff and/or emergency services support when needed.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, assist with visitor management, and report suspicious activity, contraband concerns, and/or policy violations through the appropriate channels.
  • Complete accurate reports and logs for incidents, patrol activity, and daily observations, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
