As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy government transportation waterfront location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations with clear communication and outstanding customer service. You will conduct routine patrols, document observations, and assist visitors and staff with professionalism. Requirements
- Have 1+ years of security experience.
- Have a TSA issued TWIC.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to the public and site personnel by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of terminal areas, walkways, docks, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards.
- Control access by checking credentials, directing visitors, monitoring entry and exit points, and communicating issues to site leadership and/or local authorities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with crowd management, disturbances, and/or medical or evacuation-related notifications per post orders.
- Complete detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and maintenance concerns, and use radio, phone, and/or electronic systems to maintain clear communication with the team.
