About The Position

As a Security Officer - TWIC Gatehouse in Beaumont, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location where you will manage access control, support badge issuance and verification, and greet employees, contractors, and visitors with professional customer service. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Have a TSA issued TWIC.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Control access at gates and/or entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining sign-in and sign-out logs, and directing visitors to approved destinations.
  • Screen and/or inspect vehicles, deliveries, and contractors for authorization, required documentation, and restricted items in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Monitor alarm panels, access control systems, and/or CCTV when assigned, and report irregular activity through the established chain of command.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting actions taken, and coordinating with on-site personnel and/or responding agencies as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
  • Complete detailed reports of daily activities, access control actions, incidents, and maintenance concerns, and communicate relevant updates during shift turnover.
  • Help to deter unauthorized entry and/or prohibited activity by maintaining a consistent presence, following post orders, and addressing access concerns professionally.
