As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will greet visitors, verify credentials, manage badge and gate activity, and document security-related events while maintaining a professional, visible presence. You will communicate clearly with site teams, follow post orders, and respond to issues as they arise. This is a driving post. Requirements

• A minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience is required.
• A TSA issued TWIC is required.
• Be at least 21 or more years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Control entry and exit at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining access logs, and directing traffic flow.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting on-site leadership and/or emergency services per post orders and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, gates, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and communication systems, report unusual activity, and complete required reports and shift pass-downs per Allied Universal guidelines.
