Join Allied Universal at a critical utilities location as an Access Control Officer, where you will greet personnel and visitors, verify credentials, issue and manage badges, and control entry points with clear communication. You will complete routine rounds near access areas, document security-related activity, and support site operations with professional customer service. Requirements

• Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while carrying out access control and other security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Control entry and exit at gates, lobbies, and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, authorizations, and visitor credentials, and directing personnel to the appropriate areas.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or access control systems; document unusual activity and report concerns per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and completing required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, work areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
