About The Position

As a Security Officer - TWIC Gate Driver in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy transportation location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and keep detailed logs while providing friendly, professional customer service. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and communicate clearly with site teams to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of security experience is required.
  • A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control processes, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a transportation location.
  • Control entry and exit points by checking identification, verifying authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining visitor and vendor logs in accordance with post orders.
  • Screen vehicles, drivers, and deliveries as required, coordinate with site personnel for dock or gate access, and report irregularities per policy.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, completing timely notifications and written reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of gates, yards, and perimeter areas, monitor cameras and alarms when assigned, and document observations per Allied Universal guidelines.
