About The Position

As a Security Officer - TWIC Driver Patrol in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed, driving patrol officer at a government waterfront transportation location, where you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor interactions. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site staff and responders, and deliver customer service with integrity. Requirements

  • A TSA Issued TWIC is required.
  • Client requires proof of HS Diploma and/or GED.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Lift Up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, vendors, and personnel by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies for a government port location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, docks, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Control access at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials as directed, and monitoring inbound and outbound traffic flow.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site representatives and public emergency services when appropriate.
  • Complete detailed written reports and shift logs, document incidents and/or observations, and communicate key information during shift turnover.
